Significance of Falconry Exhibition

The International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2023, which will bring its curtain down on Saturday, takes its visitors on a journey to explore the heritage of falconry, hunting and wilderness activities.

Celebrating diversity and openness, it serves as a window to the world of falconry outside KSA through international booths that showcase the work of 300 exhibitors from 30 countries.  One particular booth is shining, catching the eyes of many visitors- the British glove maker Calvin Crossman’s booth.

Gloves with American quality and British meticulousness

Crossman’s 20 years of experience are mirrored in his high-quality products, meticulously made of deluxe leather.  Those gloves with international beauty being made of US leather with British experienced hands found their way to KSA, garnering the attention of visitors who, according to Crossman, are from different age groups.

Crossman uses various types of leather that he gets from American Indians in the United States who keep the leather of their animals after dying while using other types of leather used for the gloves’ lining.

Crossman Experience at Riyadh’s Falconry Exhibition

He lauded the huge numbers of visitors to the exhibition which shows the love the Saudis’ have for falconry.

“I was drawn to the large area of the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition, and the multiple pavilions it included, which brought together many areas primarily concerned with falconry, in addition to the pavilions allocated to equipping cars with the necessary tools for road trips and all camping equipment,” said Crossman.

The exhibition helps to gather falconers from all over the world, each coming with his background and experience, to celebrate their love for falcons in KSA and share their experiences.

Thanks to his first visit to Saudi Arabia, the British glove maker said that he gained experience as he dealt with many falconers who came to the exhibition from all over the world.

He affirmed that the miles-apart countries, Britain and KSA, have a lot in common when it comes to falconry as the falconry enthusiasts in both countries share many practices.
