Ithra Actively Participates in Riyadh International Book Fair 2025

The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) is actively participating in the Riyadh International Book Fair 2025 as one of the most significant knowledge platforms and cultural hubs.

Through a dedicated pavilion and various publications, Ithra offers wide range of initiatives and activities to enrich the cultural experience of visitors.

“Ithra is regarded as a premier center of knowledge and a major cultural hub, not only within Saudi Arabia but across the wider region,” Abdullah Al-Hawas, Head of the Ithra Library and Spokesperson for the Center, said.

Al-Hawas noted that Ithra’s core mission is to spread knowledge and enrich lives by promoting creativity, dialogue, engagement, and the celebration of cultural heritage.

By taking part in the Riyadh International Book Fair 2025, the center fosters its commitment to highlighting the development of the literary and cultural scene within the Kingdom and emphasizing the pivotal role of knowledge and reading in advancing the progress of nations.

Interestingly, Ithra’s Library boasts more than 450,000 printed and digital books, along with a collection of newspapers and magazines.

In line with Saudi Vision 2030, Ithra has been intensifying its efforts to keep pace with the Kingdom’s evolving cultural and intellectual landscape. Therefore, the center has advanced new plans and strategies to support this transformation.

Al-Hawas also noted that international book fairs have evolved into vital platforms for cultural dialogue and cross-civilizational exchange.

Throughout its history, Saudi Arabia has remained committed to strengthening channels of communication with the wider world. Al-Hawas added that this approach is deeply rooted in the Kingdom’s unique responsibility as the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

He also underscored that book fairs and exhibitions provide a unique opportunity to showcase the Kingdom’s rich history and highlight the intellectual and cultural achievements that have shaped every aspect of life.

Moreover, they serve as platforms for dialogue on regional and global issues, enhancing the exchange of knowledge and ideas.

By organizing these events, the Kingdom not only shares its cultural and intellectual contributions but also embraces and engages with several cultures from around the world.

Ithra’s participation in this year’s fair, Al-Hawas noted that the center is marking its twelfth consecutive appearance at the event.

Interestingly, the center’s booth is showcasing the Ithra’s vast array of activities and programs, with a specific focus on its library, which serves as a cornerstone of its contribution to the fair.

Al-Hawas also noted that Ithra is offering a fine selection of its latest publications, including:
