Cairo International Book Fair 2025 Kicks Off

The events marking the opening of the 56th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair have just commenced, attended by Dr. Ahmed Fawad Hanou, the Minister of Culture and a selection of intellectuals and media figures.
The fair is scheduled to open its doors to the public at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, January 24th.

Million Book Initiative
The Million Book Initiative will be launched at exactly 2:00 PM Today, in addition to the launch of the “Kitab” app at 5:00 PM.
The exhibition welcomes visitors daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, except on Thursdays and Fridays when it is open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Additionally, these development steps have been taken sequentially and are part of the future plans envisioned by the authority to align with the New Republic’s strategy of embracing digital transformation and stepping into the future, in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030.

Moreover, the exhibition events will take place from January 23rd to February 5th, 2025, with broad participation from local and international publishing houses, alongside a rich and diverse program of cultural and artistic activities.
Cairo International Book Fair
The Cairo International Book Fair 2025 ticket costs 5 pounds. Tickets can be bought at sales outlets near the entrances of the Egypt International Exhibition Center in the Fifth Settlement or online. To purchase online, visit the book fair website, select “Buy Ticket,” enter your phone number, and click “Continue.” Choose the number of tickets, select a payment method, and the e-ticket will be displayed. Finally, save it for entry at the fair gates.
