Ithra Highlights Patriotism, Identity in Saudi National Day Celebrations

The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) has concluded its celebrations of the 95th Saudi National Day, attracting more than 150,000 visitors from 22 September to 27.

Ithra hosted several cultural and entertaining activities that combined art, culture, and knowledge and focused on boosting values ​​of citizenship and strengthening national identity.

Saudi Industries

The center amazed the audience with a vast array of interactive workshops and educational programs to raise awareness of diverse Saudi industries.

From raw plastics and aquaculture to metal and technology industries, the workshops highlighted the Kingdom’s excellence in fostering its industrial scene and ensuring its diversity.

Moreover, the exhibition spotlighted several environmental sustainability initiatives, providing visitors with an opportunity to explore the latest industrial advancements.

From Bean to Cup

The exhibition also shed light on the Saudi coffee as a symbol of Saudi hospitality and national identity, showcasing its journey from cultivation to the final cup.

Interestingly, visitors had a unique opportunity to explore the traditional methods of coffee preparation across different regions of the Kingdom.

Two Swords and Palm Tree

Through archival photos and documents, Ithra revived the history of the iconic national symbol, “the two swords and the palm tree.”

The exhibition offered rare glimpses into the symbol’s evolution from its origins to its current form, with insightful interpretation of its symbolic meanings. The palm tree represents abundance and life, while the two swords symbolize strength and the defense of the homeland.

Military Display

The Ministry of Interior dazzled Ithra Gardens with a military display, featuring meticulously choreographed performances.

The display portrayed a vivid image for Saudi loyalty, patriotism, and the proud history of the security forces in serving their beloved Kingdom.

Ithra offered visitors an exceptional experience, inviting them to capture personal photos and write messages to their future selves, scheduled to be delivered in 2030—the year of Vision 2030.

This initiative served as a symbolic bridge between the present and the future, inspiring hope and ambition while reflecting the Kingdom’s aspirations and forward-looking vision.

We Sing for Our Nation

The “We Sing for Our Nation” event returned for its fourth consecutive year, with the Ithra Theatre celebrating a collection of iconic patriotic songs.

One of the most memorable moments came with the rendition of “We Are Saudis Forever,” which turned the hall into a powerful chorus of unity and loyalty to the homeland.
