Industry Minister Meets Saudi Scholarship Students in North Carolina

Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef met with a group of Saudi scholarship students at North Carolina State University during his official visit to the United States. The meeting was also attended by Saleh Al-Sulami, Chief Executive Officer of the National Industrial Development Center.

During the discussion, Minister Alkhorayef emphasized that the Kingdom relies on its youth to shape the future and realize its ambitious national visions. He underlined Saudi Arabia’s commitment to investing in education and skill development to enhance global competitiveness, pointing to several national initiatives such as the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program and the Human Capability Development Program.

The minister also highlighted the efforts of the Kingdom’s industrial and mineral resources ecosystem to strengthen human capital in the industry and mining sectors, enabling them to play a pivotal role in sector transformation and the fulfillment of Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.

As part of his tour of Research Triangle Park, Minister Alkhorayef also met with Saudi students at Duke University.

These meetings come within the framework of the minister’s official visit to the United States, which continues until August 28. The visit seeks to enhance industrial and mining cooperation, attract high-quality investments, and explore new opportunities in advanced industrial sectors.
