Industry, Mineral Resources Minister: Over 100 Incentives for Investors

The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, pointed to the enablers and incentives provided by the Ministry to investors in the industrial and mining sectors. These enablers and incentives, totaling 100, contribute to helping major companies exploit the unique investment opportunities offered by the two sectors and address all challenges they might face.

He made these remarks during the workshop in The Center for Enhancing Partnerships with the Private Sector “Shareek” to empower major companies in the industrial sector.

Shareek program

Al-Khorayef emphasized the importance of the “Shareek” program in helping private sector companies overcome challenges during their investment plan implementation. Moreover, this boosts national economic growth and diversifies income sources, aligning with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Al-Khorayef discussed several possibilities, including the formation of a committee to assist exporters with financial and logistical challenges. He highlighted efforts to boost the presence of national products in foreign markets and emphasized the ministry’s focus on job localization in the industrial sector. Additionally, Al-Khorayef mentioned cooperation with government agencies to empower and develop national human cadres.

Furthermore, the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources praised the cooperation between his ministry and the Ministry of Investment. This collaboration improved the investment environment, enhanced competitiveness, and increased attractiveness to local and foreign investors.

The workshop focused on empowering major industrial companies and boosting investments. It reviewed available investment opportunities and promising industries highlighted by the national industrial strategy. Additionally, it covered the services and initiatives offered by the industry and mineral wealth system to enhance government-private sector cooperation and increase local investment plans.
