Farhan Receives Phone Call from US Secretary of State
Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud receives a phone call from US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, during which they discussed developments in Gaza and its surroundings, and the efforts being made to deal with its security and humanitarian consequences.
Moreover, the Saudi minister held a phone call today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil Mauro Vieira, reported Saudi Press Agency. During the call, the two ministers discussed Saudi-Brazilian relations and ways to enhance them. In addition, they discussed developments in regional and international issues of mutual interest, including the situation in Gaza.
KSA Opposes Displacement of Palestinians
Few days ago, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has issued a stern warning about the grave consequences of any Israeli attack on Rafah, in southern Gaza. His keynote speech was at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s ministerial meeting. He confirmed Saudi Arabia’s strong opposition to the displacement of Palestinians from the region. He expressed dismay over the global failure to stop Gaza’s violence and warned against diminishing UNRWA‘s key role in Palestine.
Farhan Talks about KSA’s Continued Support for UNRWA
Farhan pledged ongoing support from KSA for UNRWA. He called upon all benefactors to fulfill their responsibilities towards Palestinian refugees in Gaza. Moreover, he urged nations to resume support for UNRWA, highlighting its role in addressing Palestinians’ needs and easing the humanitarian crisis.
