Dubai will host the activities of the 31st edition of the Arabian Travel Market 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Center from May 6 to 9.
This year’s edition of the event is scheduled to witness the participation of more than 2,300 exhibitors and representatives from more than 155 countries. More than 41,000 visitors are expected to attend, and the number may exceed 50,000 for the first time, according to participants’ expectations.
The exhibition showcases how innovators can enhance customer experiences, support efficiencies, and accelerate progress towards a net-zero emissions future for the industry.
Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director of the Arabian Travel Market in the Middle East, stated that the exhibition will feature two stages of events: the return of the World Theater and the new Arabian Travel Market Future Theater. The conference agenda will host a group of prominent speakers from around the world to discuss emerging trends driving growth in the travel and tourism sector.
Curtis added that a significant addition to the Arabian Travel Market 2024 is a new summit focusing on entrepreneurship. This summit discusses the role of emerging travel companies in the Middle East economy and highlights their pioneering methods. She noted that the Start-up Competition in the Arabian Travel Market is in partnership with “Intilaaq,” a subsidiary of the Emirates Group, providing an ideal platform to honor the enormous potential of innovators in the region and for brands to present their industrial solutions.
The number of hotel brands participating in the Arabian Travel Market 2024 increased by 21% year-on-year, with a 58% increase in new travel technology products on offer.
Furthermore, the event is witnessing a slight increase in all major sectors, with annual growth in all regions, including the Middle East by 28%, Asia and Europe by 34%, and Africa by 26%.
Environmental responsibility in the travel and tourism industry will continue to be a key focus at the Arabian Travel Market. This also aligns with RX, the event organizer’s commitment to sustainability, building on last year’s theme of “Working towards achieving net zero.”
