Defense Ministry’s Health Services Unveils First Mobile Field Hospital at Holy Sites

In a landmark initiative, the Ministry of Defense’s Health Services has launched its first-ever mobile field hospital at the holy sites. This effort is part of a broader strategy to enhance healthcare services during the Hajj season, ensuring pilgrims receive high-quality, safe, and comprehensive medical care.

The cutting-edge mobile hospital consists of 29 trailers and 26 modular units, encompassing all core hospital components. Moreover, these include a main entrance, connecting corridors, emergency exits, and essential service areas—enabling full medical functionality in a mobile, field-based setting.

The facility features inpatient wards with a 50-bed capacity, a fully equipped pharmacy with a dedicated medicine storage area, a radiology suite, a medical laboratory, and several specialized clinics. It is also outfitted with an advanced surgical operating room, recovery and sterilization zones, intensive care and observation units, and a dedicated emergency department.

The deployment of this mobile field hospital highlights the Ministry of Defense’s crucial role in supporting pilgrims and bolstering the healthcare infrastructure at the holy sites.
