Cruise “Mein Schiff 2” Arrives at Dammam
Today, Cruise “Mein Schiff 2” arrived at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam.
“Mein Schiff 2” came from Abu Dhabi, and it is heading to Qatar.
The Saudi Ports Authority, “Mawani,” stated that the ship carries 2,894 tourists. The Authority confirmed the ship’s arrival using an integrated system of logistical and maritime services.
It is worth mentioning that in November of last year, KSA received the same ship, carrying 2,800 tourists. This is a part of the Kingdom’s efforts to support, enhance, and enrich the tourism sector in the country.
Background about King Abdulaziz Port
It is worth mentioning that King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam is one of the main ports for the Kingdom on the Arabian Gulf. The port is connected to several highways and a railway linking it to the dry port in Riyadh.
With a total area of 193,000 square meters, the port includes 3 terminals and 43 berths. Its handling capacity is approximately 105 million tons, operated by 14 operators.
Notably, King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud gave Saudi Aramco permission to construct the port in order to meet the needs of the oil industry. The port serves as a gateway for goods from around the world to the Eastern and Central regions.

Meyer Turku built Mein Schiff 2 Finland and TUI Cruises received it in January 2019. In addition, it is the sixth new ship in the whole TUI Cruises fleet.
TUI Cruises is the owner and operator of the cruise liner “Mein Schiff 2,” which is now sailing the Malta flag.
“Mein Schiff 2” is one of the largest vessels in the company’s fleet, headquartered in Hamburg. It is 315.7 m long, 35.8 m wide, with a capacity of 2,894 people.
In addition, it offers 20,500 square meters of external deck space, along with several restaurants, cafes, and entertainment options.
