It is valued at over 150 million Riyals, according to SABQ On line Newspaper.

Omar bin Talal Hariri, President of the General Authority for Ports, stated the new logistics area’s foundation aligns with the Authority’s key role. It supports sustainable maritime sector growth. This effort aids in fulfilling national economic and social goals.
It also meets the Authority’s strategic targets by expanding logistics areas to 30, which includes re-export zones. Additionally, it boosts private sector involvement in economic development.
Furthermore, these actions align with the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services. The strategy aims to make the Kingdom a global logistics center, connecting three continents.
Advantages of New Area
This new area at the King Abdulaziz Port is strategically located near the Jubail Industrial City among several cities in the Eastern Region. This will enhance its logistics operations.
It is capable of offering high-quality, comprehensive, and integrated logistics services. In addition it is poised to facilitate transportation between the Eastern and Central regions in the Kingdom.
It also meets local market requirements for goods transportation and handling with high operational capabilities.
Area Specifications, Goals
The new area spans 100,000 square meters, with an annual capacity of 300,000 containers. It aims to facilitate the growth of the global shipping provided to national and international clients in the Kingdom.

Finally, this new logistics area enhances the competitive edge of King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam.
This increases the private sector’s contribution to the economic development wheel and economic diversification.
