The Chairman of Federation of Saudi Chambers (FSC) Hassan Alhwaizy has held an important meeting with Georgian First Vice Prime Minister Levan Davitashvili in Tbilisi.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the meeting focused on discussing the possibility of establishing a Georgian bank in Saudi Arabia to facilitate trade and investment.
The bank is anticipated to increase the financial cooperation and boost the attractiveness of the Saudi market for international banks.
In the same context, both officials agreed to form a joint Saudi-Georgian team to manage economic relations between both countries. The team will be under the direct supervision of the vice prime minister.
Moreover, the newly established team will bolster the mutual trade, capture new Saudi investments to Georgia, address any current challenges, and launch various initiatives to further enhance economic cooperation between the Kingdom and Georgia.
The Saudi business delegation also met with several officials from the Georgian Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture. The discussions delved deeply into how to attract investment opportunities within Georgia’s agricultural sector and food security.
These meetings and discussions are part of FSC’s visits to Azerbaijan and Georgia to boost investment opportunities.
Al-Huwaizi has been holding high-level meetings and discussions with government officials and private sector leaders in both countries to build strategic trade partnerships.
