The King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority is currently hosting the global Catwalk 2025 initiative to underscore the importance of preserving wild cats in their natural habitats.
Held at the regions of Al-Jouf and Hail, the event serves as an annual campaign seeking to raise awareness about wildlife conservation, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Furthermore, the Catwalk initiative aims to inspire and encourage people to take part in walking activities covering distances of up to 7 kilometers.
Therefore, the event features various pavilions and activities, such as:
- The reserve’s pavilion
- Arabian leopard pavilion
- A walking track
- Dedicated corner for endangered cats
- Interactive activities
- Children’s area
The occasion highlights endangered feline species such as the tiger, lion, leopard, jaguar, and mountain lion.
The 2025 Catwalk stands as a testament to the authority’s commitment to protecting endangered species, enhancing biodiversity, as well as fostering environmental awareness.
