British Writer's Endorsement of Taif

American magazines specializing in tourism has called on travelers worldwide to visit the city of Taif, famous for its roses and perfumes, according to SABQ Online Newspaper.

The report urged global tourism companies to place Taif, a city in Saudi Arabia, at the top of their world tourism lists.

The British writer Zizi Ivor, working for the American magazine “Condé Nast,” confirmed this recommendation after her visit to the Kingdom.

Additionally, she emphasized that a destination like Taif, registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site, should be at the top of the lists for tourism companies, especially for travelers interested in experiencing stunning natural beauty.

Ivor wrote an extensive report on the nature of Taif, its rose production, the varieties, and the manufacturing process.

Significant of Increase

In the first half of 2023, the Kingdom recorded a total of 53.6 million tourists (overnight visitors for all purposes), comprising 14.6 million international arrivals and 39.0 million domestic tourists. Consequently, total expenditure reached 150 billion Riyals.

86.9 billion Riyals were recorded from international tourism and 63.1 billion Riyals from domestic tourism during the same period.

Enhancing Saudi Arabia’s Global Tourism Status

Saudi Arabia has bolstered its position as a global tourism destination with initiatives in archaeology, culture, education, and arts. Consequently, these efforts aim to preserve the Kingdom’s heritage and natural beauty.

Furthermore, major events like the Red Sea International Film Festival and the Saudi car race have showcased Saudi hospitality.
