Al-Ahsa’s Governor Visits World Defense Exhibition Pavillions
Today, Saud bin Talal bin Badr, the Governor of Al-Ahsa, visited several pavilions at the World Defense Exhibition 2024, held in Riyadh.
Notably, the event began on Feb. 4 and will end on Feb. 8 under the patronage, of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Mohammed bin Salman, theCrown Prince.

It is worth mentioning that the exhibition witnessed the participation of more than 773 exhibitors representing over 75 countries.
Moreover, several government agencies, and major local and international companies in the defense and security sectors attended the event.
Additionally, other sectors related to the military and defense industries were also present.
Badr’s Tour in World Defense Exhibition
During his visit, Badr toured various local and international pavilions participating in the exhibition. He praised the achievements of Saudi Arabia in the localization of military industries derived from Vision 2030.
Badr confirmed that the exhibition contributed to knowledge transfer to keep pace with the latest developments and to enhance the value of industrial investment in the defense sector.
Badr stressed that “organizing the second edition of the exhibition reflects the leadership’s keenness to reach global leadership in the military industries sector.
Additionally, he stated that KSA looks forward to achieving national objectives to contribute to the development of the national economy.
Importance of World Defense Exhibition
Prince Badr emphasized the importance of the exhibition organized by the General Authority for Military Industries as a comprehensive exhibition focusing on:
- the future of the defense industry
- showcasing the latest technological advancements across various defense sectors: land, sea, air, space, and security.
Badr Concludes His Visit by Watching Airshow
Badr ended his visit by watching the accompanying flight displays of the World Defense Exhibition 2024.
The airshow featured a variety of events such as conferences, forums, discussion sessions, and live demonstrations. This show informs the defense and security industry audience of the latest trends in the field.
Furthermore, it attracts government officials, decision-makers, and thought leaders from all levels of the supply chains in the sector.
