ACWA Power Inaugurates Empowering Women’s Ambitions Program
Yesterday, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACWA Power Mohammad Abunayyan inaugurated “Empowering Women’s Ambitions” program. The program is hosted by the Energy and Water Academy (EWA), reported Saudi Press Agency.
ACWA’s program is dedicated to qualifying Saudi women in the fields of energy, water, and others. Continuously building women’s capacity will broaden their participation in serving the industrial sectors.
The Chairman of the Academy’s Board, Thamer bin Saud Alsharhan, explained that the program reflects the wise leadership’s attention to the energy and water sector.
In recent years, the Kingdom has witnessed Significant leap in energy and water sector. Therefore, the nation has become one of the most developed countries in these fields globally.
Moreover, Alsharhan pointed out that the Academy aims to keep pace with this transformation, striving to meet the requirements of Vision 2030. The vision requires providing training and technical services focusing on the latest training methods, best training environments, and practical curricula.
Furthermore, the Academy’s CEO Tariq Alshamrani affirmed that the program targets empowering Saudi women in technical and technological specializations.
Supported by the Human Resources Development Fund and sponsored by ACWA Power, the program began by qualifying 57 girls in various fields including energy, water, occupational health.
