The Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, and his Italian counterpart, Antonio Tajani, met in Rome on Thursday and held an official session of talks, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
During their talks, the two ministers discussed ways to strengthen Saudi-Italian ties across various fields. They also praised the growing economic relations between both countries, noting that the volume of trade reached more than $12 billion in 2024. They hoped for more progress in economic cooperation in the coming period.

Furthermore, the Saudi and Italian Foreign Ministers stressed the need to continue coordination on all regional and international issues, expressing support for efforts aimed at reaching peaceful solutions and ending conflicts, particularly in the Gaza Strip.
With regards to this, they emphasized the need to take all the necessary steps to facilitate the entry of relief and humanitarian aid into the Strip in full cooperation with international mechanisms.

The discussions also addressed the conflict in Ukraine and the importance of reaching a peaceful settlement. In the light of this, the Italian Foreign Minister hailed Saudi Arabia’s efforts to reconcile Russian and American viewpoints in order to find a solution to this crisis.
The meeting in Rome saw the attendance of the Advisor to the Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Prince Musab bin Mohammed Al Farhan; Advisor to the Foreign Minister, Mohammed Alyahya; Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Manal Radwan; and Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom to Italy, Tariq Al-Fayez.
