The Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, on Saturday received a phone call from the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
During the call, both leaders discussed the latest regional and international developments and exchanged views on several issues. They also discussed efforts made to achieve security and stability.
According to the Italian Government’s statement, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Meloni discussed the Ukrainian crisis, in the light of the positive outcome of the US-Ukraine talks held in Jeddah on March 11, 2025.
Both leaders “discussed in particular the ongoing initiatives and the shared commitment to a just and lasting peace in Ukraine,” the statement said.
The two leaders also exchanged views regarding the recent developments in the Middle East region, the statement added.
