The Saudi Arabian Cabinet, chaired by King Salman bin Abdulaziz, approved the establishment of 10 new private colleges during its latest session in Riyadh. This move is part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to enhance its educational sector under Vision 2030.
International Agreements Strengthened
In addition to the new colleges, the Cabinet authorized the Minister of Finance to negotiate a memorandum of understanding with France’s Infrastructure Financing Support Bureau. This agreement will focus on public-private partnerships, further strengthening Saudi-French relations in key sectors.

Support for Palestinian Cause
The session addressed international matters, with the Cabinet welcoming the UN General Assembly’s resolution to end the illegal occupation. Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its backing for a comprehensive, just solution to the Palestinian issue, aligning with the Arab Peace Initiative. The Cabinet emphasized the need to adhere to relevant international resolutions for achieving a fair and lasting Palestinian solution.
Looking ahead, the Cabinet emphasized Saudi Arabia’s hope that the UN’s newly adopted Pact for the Future will drive significant progress in multilateral cooperation. The Kingdom believes this pact can support sustainable development goals and bridge the global digital gap, particularly benefiting emerging economies.
Other Key Decisions
Several other agreements were signed, including memorandums of understanding with Ghana, Venezuela, and Albania in areas such as cultural cooperation and environmental protection.
