UN World Tourism Organization Commends Kingdom for 73% Surge in Inbound Tourism
The Secretary-General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization, Zurab Pololikashvili, praised the significant growth in the tourism sector in the Kingdom. During the first seven months of 2024, international tourist arrivals increased by 73% compared to the same period in 2019.
As a result, the Kingdom topped the G20 countries in indicators for the growth rate of international tourists and the growth rate of international tourism revenues. Additionally, international tourism revenues saw a 207% increase, according to the Barometer report issued by the United Nations World Tourism Organization in September 2024.
