The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has lauded the efficiency of the Kingdom’s air traffic management in response to recent geopolitical developments across the region, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The Saudi Air Navigation Services (SANS) was awarded a letter of appreciation and a commemorative plaque in recognition of its unique efforts in handling increased air traffic while maintaining uninterrupted operations with minimal disruption.
By efficiently managing air traffic and reorganizing flight routes with a high degree of professionalism, SANS contributed to reinforcing the resilience of the Kingdom’s airspace and limiting operational disruptions for airlines despite the exceptional circumstances affecting the region, IATA said.
The association also commended the aviation sector’s strong operational readiness and its capacity to ensure uninterrupted air traffic flow and continuity, while upholding the highest standards of safety, security, and efficiency.
