Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce has announced the recall of 490 General Motors vehicles due to a defect in the transmission control valve, according to the Saudi Gazette.
The recall affects 2022 model-year GMC Yukon, Chevrolet Tahoe, Cadillac Escalade and Chevrolet Suburban vehicles. The defect may trigger a drop in pressure, leading to harsh shifting or rear-wheel lockup during driving and raising the likelihood of accidents.
The ministry advised vehicle owners to check their vehicle identification number (VIN) through the Defective Products Recall Center website Recalls.sa.
It also urged them to contact the authorized dealer to arrange free repairs.
The ministry noted that citizens can follow all recall campaigns for defective goods and products through the Recalls.sa.
