Saudi Chemistry Team Takes Part in 2026 Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad in Moscow

The Saudi chemistry team is taking part in the 60th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad (IMChO 2026), held in Moscow, Russia, from April 15 to 23.
First established in 1967, the International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad is among the oldest and most prestigious global competitions in chemistry, known for its highly challenging questions and rigorous format.

Saudi Arabia’s participation continues a consistent presence in the Olympiad since 2013, bringing the total number of appearances to 13. Over the years, Saudi students have achieved 28 international awards, including three silver medals and 23 bronze medals—highlighting their growing success in global scientific competitions.
Team members undergo intensive year-round training that includes both theoretical and practical preparation, as well as participation in local and international training camps. These efforts strengthen their ability to solve complex chemistry problems and ensure they are well-prepared to compete at the highest level while representing the Kingdom on the global stage.
