Tabuk City has launched on Wednesday the second edition of the Honey and Agricultural Products Festival at Tabuk Park, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The festival, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture’s branch in Tabuk, will see the participation of over 30 beekeepers and farmers. The event will last for five days.
The Honey and Agricultural Products Festival features a wide variety of Tabuk region’s signature agricultural products, such as dates, olive oil and honey. Moreover, it includes several pavilions and exhibitions, and accompanying guidance and educational zones.
In addition, the festival displays success stories of beekeepers, and presents awareness lectures about the agricultural services provided by the Environment Ministry’s branch.
The Acting Director-General of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture’s branch in Tabuk, Eng. Amjad Thalab, said that the festival aims to open marketing avenues for participants to promote their products in Tabuk and other regions.
Thalab appreciated the unwavering support provided by Prince Fahd bin Sultan, the Governor of Tabuk Province, and the Deputy Governor of Tabuk, for farmers and beekeepers.
He also thanked the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadli, and the Deputy Minister, for their support and interest in opening new marketing channels for farmers to promote their products and for helping farmers to solve their problems.
