President of the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) Abdullah Al-Ghamdi has honored the winning teams of Allam Challenge, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Held in Riyadh from November 7 to 9, the competition represents one of the most important events focused on elevating Arabic Language.
Organized in collaboration with the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, the Challenge highlighted the participation of 600 individuals from 17 countries.
With a prize pool of SR1 million ($266,000), the competition aimed basically to develop AI models to do certain tasks. Such tasks include writing and understanding Arabic poetry, parsing sentences accurately, and teaching the Arabic Language in an interactive manner.
The first team won a prize of SR500,000, the second secured SR300,000, and the third won SR200,000.
Furthermore, five teams from the National Technology Development Program a total prize of SR750,000 and recognition for their outstanding projects.
The forum also witnessed the presence of over 50 mentors and 40 judges and experts in AI and the Arabic language oversaw the challenge.
In addition to this, they provided support to participating teams and evaluate projects based on certain criteria to ensure the sustainability of the proposed solutions.
