Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University (IAU) kicked off the International Neurology Conference, along with an associated exhibition, at Le Meridien Al Khobar. The event attracted significant international attention, with the participation of over 350 specialists.
IAU Neurology Conference
The conference, held under the patronage of Eastern Region Governor Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz, was inaugurated by IAU’s acting president, Prof. Fahad Al-Harbi. It will continue through Friday.
The event was organized by the university’s College of Medicine Neurology Department and King Fahad Hospital.
Al-Harbi noted that the two-day conference includes scientific sessions and workshops designed to promote innovation and excellence in neurology. Furthermore, these sessions will enable the exchange of knowledge on the latest advancements in the field. He highlighted the support from the Kingdom’s leadership for scientific research and innovation. He also emphasized IAU’s commitment to advancing the medical and health sectors through academic partnerships.
‘Neurology stands as one of the most complex and essential fields in medicine, crucial for understanding and treating neurological disorders, Al-Harbi noted. Moreover, the swift progress in technology and medical breakthroughs, scientists hold a responsibility to use this knowledge to advance human well-being.
Finally, he emphasized the importance of establishing platforms where experts can exchange ideas, fostering the discovery of groundbreaking medical advancements that can drive positive change.
