“We celebrate Formula 1® and are proud to hold this global event on the Kingdom’s soil for the first time. Today is nothing but the culmination of efforts, as you are all winners by what you have achieved today,” Al-Zamil added.
Ithra’s Pivotal Role
The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, otherwise known as Ithra, supervised the Saudi teams’ preparation during a training program run for 11 months.
With a strong focus on engineering, design and teamwork, the program was led by 37 experts from 6 specialized centers.
