Saudi Team Competes with 90 Nations in 2025 International Chemistry Olympiad

The Saudi national chemistry team is participating in the 57th International Chemistry Olympiad, taking place in Dubai, UAE, from July 5 to 14. They are competing alongside teams from around 90 countries.
The Olympiad is designed to promote global cooperation in the field of chemistry and inspire students to find creative and independent solutions to complex chemical challenges.

Saudi Arabia has a distinguished history in the competition, having earned 45 international awards to date—15 silver medals, 28 bronze medals, and two certificates of appreciation.
This year’s Saudi team consists of four students, selected and trained by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), in partnership with the Ministry of Education.

With over 300 high school students participating, the International Chemistry Olympiad is the world’s largest academic event in chemistry at the secondary school level. Since its inception in 1968, the Olympiad has been hosted annually by different countries.
