Saudi Red Crescent in Al-Jouf Participates in Foundation Day

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority‘s branch in the Al-Jouf region celebrated Foundation Day with various activities. This event marked a significant day in the region’s calendar, bringing together community members and highlighting the essential services provided by the Red Crescent.
Involvement in Parade
Dr. Mamdouh bin Nahy Al Ruwaili, the General Manager of the branch, emphasized the importance of their participation. Their involvement also included the presence of the authority’s vehicles and ambulances in the parade, symbolizing their readiness to provide aid. Furthermore, this involvement featured 50 volunteers from the authority’s staff, showcasing their commitment and dedication. The addition of the “Tuwaq” bus and various other vehicles added a unique touch to the procession.
Educational Corner in Sakaka
The branch set up an educational corner in the Foundation Village in Sakaka city and other governorates of the region, aiming to educate the public about their work. Mixed volunteer teams, consisting of both male and female members, were present to interact with visitors. They explained the authority’s work since its inception by King Abdulaziz, who established the Charitable Ambulance to serve the pilgrims of the Holy House of God. This historical perspective provided insight into the foundation and evolution of the Red Crescent services in Saudi Arabia.
Outreach and Awareness
The teams also highlighted the significant developments achieved by the authority to date. They also focused on recent advancements in medical technology, training, and emergency response protocols. The educational corner also served as a platform for promoting health awareness among the public.
