The Saudi Ministry of Defense (MoD) has introduced a new service for reporting suspicious aerial sightings through the Tawakkalna app, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The new service allows citizens and residents across Saudi Arabia to report any suspicious aerial activity, including drones or missiles. This ensures a record-speed reporting and a swift response to protect the Kingdom and its national resources.
In light of this, the Defense Ministry’s Spokesperson, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, said that the new service boosts the true partnership between citizens, residents, and the defense system, underscoring their vital role in defending the nation.
Furthermore, Al-Maliki emphasized that the Saudi Armed Forces possess advanced capabilities necessary to repel any aerial threats or hostile actions that may target the Kingdom.

The new Tawakkalna service enables citizens and residents to report any potential threats to the Kingdom, Al-Maliki noted, describing the move as a “qualitative leap” in utilizing advanced technology to engage the public in detecting threats.
On this occasion, the Saudi Defense Minister, Prince Khalid bin Salman, affirmed the vital role of citizens in defending the Kingdom.
“Citizens are partners in defending the homeland through their awareness and vigilance against all threats, and we urge them to report any sightings of missiles or drones, via the ‘Tawakkalna’ app,” he posted on X.
On February 28, 2026, the US and Israel carried out a joint military operation against Iran, triggering an Iranian retaliation that involved barrages of missiles and drones that directly violated the sovereignty of several Arab States, including Saudi Arabia, Gulf countries and Jordan.
Although they have successfully intercepted the vast majority of the Iranian strikes, Gulf countries have stressed their right to self-defense in the face of these blatant aggressions, condemned by UN Security Council Resolution 2817.
