Global Leaders Converge in Riyadh for FII10: A Decade of Impact, A Future of Legacy

Saudi Arabia’s Future Investment Initiative (FII) Institute will host its 10th edition (FII10) in Riyadh from 26-29 October, 2026, under the theme “The Power of Legacy,” marking a decade since the summit’s debut.

Why it matters: Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) launched the gathering in 2017 as a single Riyadh event. Today, it has grown into one of the world’s most closely watched investment forums, often nicknamed “Davos in the Desert.” FII10 arrives as artificial intelligence, shifting capital flows and geopolitical realignment reshape economies at a pace few predicted a decade ago.

What they’re saying: Princess Dr. Maha bint Mishari bin Abdulaziz, CEO of the FII Institute, said the “Power of Legacy” theme goes beyond celebrating the past decade’s achievements. Instead, she explained, it centers on how today’s decisions, investments and partnerships will shape future generations. She described FII10 as “a pause to reflect on a journey of achievements” and, at the same time, a renewed commitment to shaping what comes next.

A Decade of Dealmaking

The FII Institute operates as a global nonprofit foundation with an active investment arm. Specifically, the organization pursues a single, powerful agenda to create a tangible impact on humanity. To achieve this, the institute structures its work around three core pillars: THINK, XCHANGE, and ACT.

Indeed, these pillars foster great ideas, empower innovators, and invest in scalable solutions worldwide, that address critical sectors like robotics, environmental sustainability, healthcare, and education.

By the numbers: The FII Institute operates as a global non-profit organization. It features a highly active investment arm. The group focuses entirely on creating a positive impact on humanity.

  • Since its inception, the institute successfully facilitated global investments exceeding a massive $250 billion.
  • The organization currently boasts more than 45 dedicated strategic partners located worldwide.
  • Thousands of prominent leaders from government, business, and academia form its rapidly growing international community.
  • FII8 in 2024 and FII9 in 2025 each drew between 7,500 and 8,000 leaders, organizers say.
  • FII9 alone generated more than $128 billion in announced deals.
  • Organizers now expect FII10 to attract even larger crowds, some estimates put attendance above 10,000, at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center.

What’s Next

Organizers haven’t released a detailed agenda yet, but they’ve confirmed FII10 will tackle the biggest questions facing investment and humanity, including artificial intelligence, sustainable energy, healthcare and geopolitics. The institute also plans to fully launch its new Capital in Motion Index, a tool tracking global capital flows, at the Riyadh gathering after unveiling it earlier this year in Miami.

The bottom line: A decade after its debut, FII is no longer just an annual conference. It’s now a year-round platform betting that long-term thinking, rather than short-term speed, will define the next phase of global growth.

FII10 marks a pivotal moment for one of the world’s leading platforms for investment, innovation, and global dialogue, as it reinforces Saudi Arabia’s growing role in shaping the future of the global economy.
