The Ministry of Culture (MoC) will host Saudi Cultural Week in Greece, set to take place from 27th September to 1st October, 2024, at the historic Zappeion Hall in Athens. This event aims to immerse visitors in Saudi Arabia’s diverse cultural heritage, highlighting cultural exchange and shared values between Saudi Arabia and Greece.
Traditional Crafts and Workshops
Various commissions under the Ministry of Culture and Saudi institutions will present traditional Saudi arts. Craftsmen will showcase the creation of the Bisht (a traditional men’s outer cloak), weaving Al Sadu (traditional textiles), and crafting Mibkhara (incense burners). Workshops will offer hands-on experiences, allowing visitors to try these crafts and explore collaborations between Saudi and Greek artisans.
Fashion Exhibition: Tradition Meets Modernity
Attendees can explore traditional Saudi fashion collections from local designers, with pieces available for purchase. The event will also highlight contemporary designs, displaying attires from renowned creators. This fusion of past and present in fashion will allow visitors to take home a piece of Saudi heritage.

Throughout the event, an exhibition of replicas of Saudi Arabia’s historical artifacts will be displayed for visitors to enjoy.
