The Saudi Minister of Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud, on Wednesday met with Jordan’s King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein in Amman, upon the directives of Saudi Arabia’s leadership, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Prince Abdulaziz conveyed to King Abdullah II the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman.
He also extended Saudi leadership’s wishes for the King’s enduring health and wellness and for the government and people of Jordan continued progress and prosperity.
During the meeting, which took place at Basman Palace, both sides reviewed relations between Saudi Arabia and Jordan and discussed the ongoing security cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
The Jordanian Crown Prince, Hussein bin Abdullah, attended the meeting, along with Jordan’s Interior Minister, Mazen Abdullah Hilal Al-Faraya, and Director of the King’s Office, Alaa Batayneh.
On Saudi Arabia’s side, the Saudi Assistant Minister of Interior, Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al-Falih, and Saudi Ambassador to Jordan, Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, were present.
Also on Wednesday, the Saudi Interior Minister met with his Jordanian counterpart, Mazen Abdullah Hilal Al-Faraya, in Amman. Both ministers explored ways to bolster security cooperation and discussed topics of mutual interest.
Prince Abdulaziz emphasized the robust ties between Saudi Arabia and Jordan, commending efforts of security agencies in both ministries, particularly in securing border and combating drug trafficking.
