Saudi Industrial Fund Launches “Industry Hackathon” in its 3rd Edition
The Saudi Industrial Development Fund has announced the opening of registration for the third edition of the “Industry Hackathon,” held under the slogan ” Your creativity has an impact.” It is sponsored by the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Chairman of the Industrial Fund, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef.
The hackathon aims to harness the creativity of citizens and residents and channel their energy into developing innovative solutions for the challenges faced by national industries. Additionally, this aligns with the fund’s strategy. The total value of the prizes for this edition exceeds 1,400,000 Riyals. It is distributed among the winners and participants in the hackathon.
Furthermore, the registration period ends on September 25. The closing ceremony will be held on October 12 of this year.
The “Industry Hackathon 2024” presents challenges faced by national manufacturers across three tracks: design, production, and sustainability.
Besides, the participation of nine leading companies offering their challenges to the participants in the training camp. It will be held on October 10th and 11th.
Industrial Development Fund
The Industrial Development Fund invites Saudi citizens and residents aged 18 and over to join the “Industry Hackathon 2024” by visiting hackathon.sidf.gov.sa. This initiative also seeks to offer national manufacturers creative ideas and solutions to boost the competitiveness of local products.
In conclusion, the Industrial Fund’s third Industry Hackathon aims to boost national industry growth through innovation and creativity. This also follows the success of the previous two editions, which saw over 8,000 registrants and 405 participants in the training camp.
