Harnessing Emerging Technologies
Moreover, the index highlighted several promising government projects, including utilizing generative AI in the “Fasah Content Clearance System” for books, which reduced costs by 95%. They also include harnessing AI in the “Smart Neighborhood Monitoring” project to improve the urban landscape, removing 92% of construction waste.
Other projects include truck crossing tracking using the Internet of Things (IoT); geological surveying via Drones, and robotic surgery technologies, which contributed to achieving high success rates in surgical operations.
AI Pivotal Role
In the light of this, the Governor and board member of the DGA, Ahmed Al-Suwaiyan, commended the efforts of government entities to capitalize on emerging technologies.
Al-Suwaiyan said that the 2025 Emerging Technologies Adoption Readiness Index focused on AI, given its pivotal role in reducing costs, accelerating progress, and boosting productivity.
He also emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to enhance the digital experience and raise the quality of life, while focusing on investment in emerging technologies to achieve a sustainable impact and improve user’s experience.
