The Kingdom participated, represented by the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information, in the Esri User Conference 2024, held in San Diego, USA, during the period of July 15-19 of the current year.
This scientific gathering, supported by experiments and practices, is considered the foremost in the fields of spatial data, geomatics, and geographic information systems. Annually, it hosts more than 20,000 participants from over 150 countries.
The agenda of the forum includes a variety of scientific sessions, workshops, and artistic presentations that cover various topics related to advanced geospatial information and technologies, as well as geospatial intelligence. This contributes to providing sustainable smart solutions, achieving targets, and empowering different sectors.
The Authority showcased the Kingdom’s national geospatial infrastructure and regulatory efforts at a special pavilion. It emphasized attracting investment, facilitating business operations, issuing permits, and supporting Saudi Vision 2030 and major development projects.
The geospatial, according to its organization, represents the Kingdom internally and externally with regard to its competencies. It aims to regulate the surveying, geospatial information and imaging sector related to its work.
