The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia expressed its condemnation and rejection of the blatant incursion carried out by Israeli settlers in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces.
The ministry stressed that these practices undermine peace efforts and contradict international principles and norms regarding respect for religious sanctities.
A comprehensive solution
The Ministry reaffirmed the Kingdom’s firm position in supporting all efforts aimed at ending the occupation and reaching a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, in a way that enables the Palestinian people to establish their independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
On Wednesday morning, dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem, under the strict protection of the Israeli occupation forces.
Tightening prayer measures
The occupation forces tightened their measures against the Palestinians in Jerusalem, as they entered to perform the dawn prayer at Al-Aqsa.
The occupation police had decided to increase the hours of the settlers’ morning storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by half an hour since last Sunday, as it ends at 11:30 instead of 11:00.
Calls continue to mobilize and bind the Al-Aqsa Mosque to protect it from the plans of the occupation and its settlers, especially during the month of Ramadan, coinciding with the violations of the occupation in the city of Jerusalem, and the settlers vowed major incursions into Al-Aqsa on the Jewish “Passover”.
It is expected that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque will witness major aggression and widespread incursions during the so-called Hebrew “Passover”, which corresponds to the third week of Ramadan, between 6-12 next April.
