Saudi Foreign Minister stresses the strength of bilateral relations with Egypt
Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al-Jamais stated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt have solid relations, emphasizing that the two countries work together and coordinate on all issues.
This was revealed during a joint press conference in Cairo between Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan.
“We underline the necessity for foreign forces and mercenaries to leave Libya,” Bin Farhan added, while Shoukry stated, “In our meeting, we stressed the significance of holding Libyan elections without delay,” emphasizing that “the stability of Libya is crucial.”
“We have a particular and strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia,” the Egyptian Foreign Minister said, adding that “we are working closely with Saudi Arabia to establish security and stability in the area.”
Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday in preparation for a meeting of the Egyptian-Saudi Follow-up and Political Consultation Committee.
Both parties discussed their perspectives on pressing regional and international issues, as well as their respective viewpoints on anything that threatens regional security and stability.
They also talked about how to keep strengthening bilateral cooperation frameworks while maintaining the two countries’ strong strategic ties.
