As part of Saudi Environment Week 2026, Riyadh has recently hosted the “Green Impact” exhibition, featuring a vast array of environmental initiatives, public awareness campaigns, and interactive activities, according to Arab News.
By spreading awareness of environmental protection, protecting natural resources, broadening vegetation cover, and preserving wildlife, the exhibition aimed to develop a lasting environmental impact in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
The event boasted several awareness initiatives and interactive displays, including a showcase of works by local artists whose works address environmental challenges and highlight the significance of water conservation, natural resource preservation, wildlife protection, and efforts to preserve biodiversity and plant life.
The artworks tackled the damaging impact of harmful practices, such as illegal logging, littering, indiscriminate hunting, the uprooting of shrubs and vegetation, and excessive water consumption.
They also showcased the impacts of climate change and global warming on plants and air quality, shedding light on soil erosion, desertification, and drought.
The Saudi Environment Week 2026 exhibition, held over the course of a week across several regions of the Kingdom, offers the public opportunities to engage with sustainable environmental practices and gain deeper knowledge into their effects in promoting quality of life.
