Saudi Crown Prince Says Kingdom seeks self-sufficiency in military industries

 

HRH Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, met recently at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense in Jeddah, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense, and leaders of the ministry.

The Crown Prince expressed his thanks and appreciation for the sincere efforts of the ministry’s men, and the great progress it has reached with the implementation of its development program.

 

He also appreciated the increase in the internal self-sufficiency of the military industries from 2% to 15%, hoping that it will reach 50% under the leadership and supervision of the Minister of Defense, and Ministry employees.

He expressed his feelings towards the ministry, its special status with him, and the period he spent working in it, praising its performance and work, and the advanced stages it has reached.

 

For his part, the Minister of Defense affirmed that the ministry’s achievements during its development programs in the past and future are due to the guidance and continuous support of the Crown Prince.

 

The reception was attended by the Ministry’s leaders, Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant-General Fayyad Al-Ruwaili, Director of the Special Affairs Department of the Minister of Defense Khaled Al-Rayes, Commander of the Joint Forces, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant-General Mutlaq Al-Azima, Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Dr. Khaled Al-Bayari, and the CEO For the Ministry’s development program, Dr. Samir Al-Tabib, Assistant Minister of Defense Talal Al-Otaibi, and leaders of the branches of the armed forces.
