Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman met, with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, the heads of companies and business owners in Japan.
After a session of talks between the Crown Prince and the Japanese Prime Minister at the Royal Court at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Sunday evening, the Crown Prince met the delegation of Japanese companies accompanying the Prime Minister on his visit to the Kingdom, according to the Saudi Press Agency, “SPA”.
According to Saudi Minister of Investment, Eng. Khaled Al-Falih, the delegation accompanying the Japanese Prime Minister includes representatives of 44 well-known Japanese significant companies and other emerging and innovative companies in various sectors.
“We are launching an exciting era in our partnership with Japan. We will strengthen our partnership with Japan in several fields and have signed 26 agreements with Japan in various fields.” Al-Falih said in an interview with Al-Arabiya.
According to the International Service of Japan’s Public Information Corporation “NHK”, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida confirmed their countries’ cooperation in the field of energy to achieve a carbon-neutral society.
Kishida explained Japan’s initiative to support Saudi Arabia with modern technologies in the next generation of energy, including hydrogen and ammonia.
Kishida visits Saudi Arabia, his first stop on his three-country Middle East tour. The meeting on Sunday lasted more than two hours and included dinner.
