Saudi Campaign Shatters Records: Over SAR1B in Donations Within a Week

Saudi Arabia’s fifth National Campaign for Charitable Work raised over SAR1 billion within seven days via the “Ehsan” platform, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) confirmed on Friday. This milestone highlights citizens’ dedication to unity and compassion during Ramadan, reinforcing the Kingdom’s leadership in humanitarian efforts.

Individuals, businesses, and institutions nationwide contributed generously, with donations funding food aid, healthcare, education, and housing support. Notably, over 500,000 donors participated, including major corporations like Saudi Aramco and Al Rajhi Bank.

Technology Drives Philanthropic Impact

The user-friendly Ehsan platform ensures secure, transparent transactions, allowing real-time donation tracking. Advanced encryption safeguards data, while partnerships with fintech firms streamline payment processes. Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Hammadi, Ehsan’s CEO, stated, “This achievement reflects Saudis’ unwavering commitment to empowering vulnerable communities.”

This year’s campaign outpaced 2023’s total by 22%, signaling growing public trust in digital philanthropy. Over 6.7 million beneficiaries have gained access to critical services since Ehsan’s 2021 launch.

Donors can contribute via the Ehsan app, website, or partner bank accounts until Ramadan’s end. The platform also enables recurring donations, Zakat calculations, and project-specific funding choices.

Saudi Arabia continues to champion global humanitarian values, proving collective action transforms lives.
