Saudi Aramco , KFUPM sign MoU to promote volunteerism
Saudi Aramco and Al Fozan Academy for Community Development Leadership at KFUPM signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to launch the “Saudi Aramco to Promote Volunteer Work” initiative.
The program intends to support volunteer activity in the Kingdom and improve the abilities of Saudi Aramco workers, students in specialized training programs, and university students.
The initiative comes as part of the efforts made by the Citizenship Department in Saudi Aramco to fulfill the values of social responsibility, by raising the level of the culture of social and volunteer work.
It aims to offer specialized training programs to prepare and qualify volunteer experts in schools from teachers and supervisors of activities to activate volunteering,
The initiative encourages volunteers to take part in or showcase successful social projects in their communities.
One of the initiative’s tracks is to increase Saudi Aramco’s institutionalization of volunteerism through consultations and the introduction of suitable volunteer opportunities that benefit the local community and its institutions.
The initiative comes within the framework of contributing to achieving the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in the non-profit sector by increasing the number of volunteers,
Nabil Al-Jameh, senior vice president of Saudi Aramco’s HR and support services division, said on this occasion that all of the company’s citizenship-related activities give volunteering a high priority.
Al-Jameh added that the launch of the Saudi Aramco initiative comes to promote volunteer work as a result of our permanent cooperation with leading national institutions in the field of social work and public benefit.
