The Saudi Embassy in Lebanon called on its citizens to immediately leave Lebanon and strictly adhere to travel ban decision, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Travel Ban Decision

Saudi Arabia is not the first country to issue travel bans, as Germany, the Netherlands, and Austria have called on their citizens to leave Lebanon earlier this week. Kuwait also joined them and advised its citizens to leave the Lebanese territories.

U.S. officials said that they are currently working to alleviate the soaring tensions and halt fighting between Israel and Hezbollah.

However, the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah stated that its fighters will never stand down from attacking Israel until there is a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.

The tensions have grown in both Lebanon and Israel over the consequences of their war that has already displaced nearly 200,000 Lebanese and Israelis on either side of the border.
