Saudi Arabia Unveils New App Showing Hajj Permits Digitally

The Saudi Ministry of Interior has launched a new service via the Tawakkalna app to allow the display of all official permits related to Hajj 2025, according to Gulf News.

In collaboration with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the platform facilitates the movement of gatherings in the holy sites during the current season.

Through Tawakkalna app, the Saudi authorities can review all types of Hajj permits issued by the government agencies that authorize holders, domestic and overseas pilgrims alike, to enter Mecca and the other holy places.

Currently, Hajj authorities are carrying out effective measures to keep undocumented pilgrims away and have also set great penalties such as heavy fines against violators.

Saudi Arabia has been ramping up preparations for Hajj 2025 with major infrastructure and service upgrades, according to Gulf News.

The Central Hajj Committee has held a meeting to evaluate the readiness of facilities and services for pilgrims during Ramadan and the upcoming Hajj season.

In coordination with 43 government agencies, the plan aims to foster safety, streamline logistics, and provide efficient crisis management during 2025 season.
