Saudi Arabia to Test Halo Space Tourist Spaceship Late September

Halo Space,” a global leader in space tourism, announced the establishment of a final assembly and testing facility in Saudi Arabia.

Carlos Mira, the company’s CEO, announced the upcoming test flight scheduled for the end of September in the Kingdom.

Mira emphasized the importance of these new facilities as part of ‘Halo’s’ long-term strategy, which aims to establish the Kingdom as a global hub for near-space activities.

Additionally, Mira emphasized the strategy to enhance local industrial capabilities by establishing final assembly and testing facilities for the capsule and spaceport. This initiative also includes an immersive experience dome in Saudi Arabia that simulates Halo’s high-altitude flights.

He also explained that the choice of the Kingdom is a natural reflection of the favorable business environment it provides and the ideal conditions that allow for the execution of near-space tourism activities.

It is noted that the establishment of the new “Hello Space” facilities aims to create its main operational base in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This also contributes to achieving the Kingdom’s goal of becoming a global center for technological innovation and economic diversification.

The flight is set for the end of September and will launch the full-size prototype of the “Aurora” capsule. Finally, it will reach an altitude of up to 30 km above Earth. This unmanned flight, part of Halo’s commitment to safety and innovation, will test the core capsule systems developed over the past three years.
