Saudi Arabia to Host GREAT Futures Initiative Conference

Saudi Arabia will host the GREAT Futures Initiative conference in Riyadh next Tuesday, reported Saudi Press Agency. The conference, which will take place on May 14-15 at the King Abdullah Financial District, is one of the initiatives of the Saudi-British Strategic Partnership Council. The Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Rishi Sunak chair the council.

Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Oliver Dowden, 7 British ministers, a number of Saudi ministers, in addition to 800 participants from the government and private sectors in the two countries will take part in the conference. They aim to strengthen economic relations between the two sides in several promising sectors and develop trade and mutual investment.

The conference will include 47 sessions and workshops, in which 127 speakers from the government and private sectors on both sides will participate. It will cover 13 promising economic sectors, most notably tourism, culture, education, health, sports, investment, trade and financial services. During the conference, 6 agreements in the fields of education and training, tourism, and real estate development will be signed.

Dowden said that the GREAT Futures Initiative conference is an important opportunity to establish partnerships between the business sectors of the two countries that keep pace with the future, creativity and innovation. In addition, it gives British companies the opportunity to learn about legislation related to the business environment, and the facilities and benefits in Saudi Arabia.
