Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah has warmly welcomed the first batch of Iranian pilgrims, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The first caravan of Iranian Hajj pilgrims arrived yesterday in the Kingdom with warm welcome and smooth entry procedures.
The pilgrims had departed from Imam Khomeini International Airport in the Iranian capital, Tehran, after an extraordinary ceremony held at the Salam Terminal in the airport.
Mohammadi Bakhsh, the Head of the Civil Aviation Organization, announced that 87,000 pilgrims are preparing to head to Mecca from 21 airports in Iran, reported the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
The Saudi authorities have facilitated all entry procedures to help the pilgrims complete their spiritual journey and return back to their homelands with smooth and fulfilling Hajj experience.
The Kingdom has ramped up preparation for Hajj season 2024 to help all pilgrims perform the fifth pillar of Islam with seamless and smooth procedures.
Furthermore, Saudi Arabia is utilizing AI tools and technologies to facilitate all measures and processes during Hajj season 2024.
Five domestic airports are on Pilgrims’ service: Jeddah, Madinah, Riyadh, Dammam, and Yanbu. The “Hajj without Luggage” service will continue, aiming to handle 270,000 bags and distribute 240,000 bottles of Zamzam water.
