Saudi Arabia’s new national carrier, Riyadh Air, on Thursday inaugurated daily direct flights linking Riyadh and Dubai, with services operated by its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The inaugural flight, RX243, departed Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport at 14:05 local time and landed at Dubai International Airport at 17:00.

Meanwhile, the return flight, RX244, was set to depart Dubai at 18:30 and arrive in Riyadh at 19:20.

The launch of services to Dubai marks Riyadh Air’s third destination as the carrier advances its ambition to link Saudi Arabia with regional and global cities.

By multiplying travel options for business and leisure passengers alike, the route is poised to foster economic and tourism ties between Saudi Arabia and the UAE, underscoring rising demand for air travel between the two Gulf hubs.
