Saudi Arabia Secures Six Medals in 2026 North African Olympiad in Informatics
Saudi Arabia has achieved a remarkable milestone at the second edition of the North African Olympiad in Informatics (NAOI 2026), securing two gold medals, three silver medals alongside one bronze medal, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
This achievement came after an intensive and highly structured training journey that featured several stages of theoretical and practical preparation, as well as a series of local and international training camps aimed at sharpening students’ competitive programming skills.
Held remotely in Libya on April 18, the competition brought together 58 participants representing nine countries from across the region.
Saudi Arabia took part in the competition through the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, “Mawhiba,” in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education, under the umbrella of the Mawhiba International Olympiads Program.
The program provides gifted students with a comprehensive qualification journey that thoughtfully blends national-level competitions with advanced training initiatives.
Launched in Algeria, the North African Olympiad in Informatics (NAOI) brings together participants from North African states long with invited guest countries in a unique regional platform dedicated to fostering excellence in competitive programming.
